Internet Industry Association of
Australia The
Internet Industry Association is Australia's national Internet
industry organisation. Members include telecommunications carriers;
content creators and publishers; web developers; e-commerce traders
and solutions providers; hardware vendors; systems integrators;
banks, insurance underwriters; Internet law firms, ISPs; educational
and training institutions; Internet research analysts; and a range
of other businesses providing professional and technical support
services. On behalf of its members, the IIA provides policy input to
government and advocacy on a range of business and regulatory
issues, to promote laws and initiatives which enhance access,
equity, reliability and growth of the medium within Australia.

kept abreast of the latest information on issues affecting the
industry in Australia and resources that are available, and have a
say in how outcomes are determined
What are the objectives
of the Association?
- to promote and
facilitate the growth, technical development and efficient
functioning of the Internet in Australia as an open system.
- to raise consumer and
small business confidence in using the Internet, particularly
for purposes of e-commerce, and to initiate and support programs
to realise that goal.
- to promote diversity
and connectivity on the Internet by all reasonable means
including but not limited to:
